Club sandwich Nama

Ingredients

  • 3 slices of crispy Pancetta
  • 6 slices of toasted bread
  • 2 lettuce leaves
  • 2 slices of Nama tomatoes
  • 2 slices of roasted chicken breast
  • 2 slices of cheese (cheddar, Provolone or your favourite)
  • Mayonnaise
  • Mustard (optional)
  • Butter (for toasting bread)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Cooking time

  • Cooking the Pancetta: 5-7 minutes
  • Toasting the bread: 2-5 minutes
  • Approximate total time: 10-15 minutes

Preparation

  • Start by cooking the Pancetta in a frying pan until crispy. Once ready, place it on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
  • Toast the bread slices in the toaster or in a frying pan with a little butter until golden brown and crispy.
  • While the bread is toasting, prepare the filling. Spread a little mayonnaise on a slice of toasted bread. If you wish, you can also add a little mustard for extra flavour.
  • Add a lettuce leaf, a slice of Nama tomato and a slice of roasted chicken breast on the slice of bread with mayonnaise. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Place a slice of cheese on top of the chicken and cover with a second slice of toasted bread.
  • Add another slice of lettuce, a slice of beef tomato and a slice of crispy Pancetta.
  • Place a third slice of toast on top and create a sort of “skewer” with your Club Sandwich, with toothpicks or slices of Pancetta rolled up to hold it firmly in place.
  • Cut the sandwich diagonally into two halves before serving.
